Eyjafjallajokull glacier
This
was taken after a hard hike down from the eyjafjallajokull glacier.
Having almost 40KG backpack and a hike that was supposed to be 6 hours
down. We slept on the glacier the night before, and had originally
planned on sleeping another night up there, but since the weather got
bad we had to get off the glacier. Luckily for us I might add, since the
eyjafjallajokull glacier erupted big time the very same day we got down
off the glacier. We consider ourselves lucky that we went down that
day. — with Terje Sorgjerd.
At the top of Mauna Kea
"Above
the Clouds" - At the top of Mauna Kea (4205m) in Hawaii last night.
Showing both the moon and the milky way in a single exposure from the
time-lapse video. The view from the summit is spectacular in every
direction.
Does anyone know the best path/trail/access point to photograph the Kilauea volcano and the lava flows? Any recommendations? Mahalo!

The Kilauea volcano crater
"Eternal
Vitality" - The Kilauea volcano crater (1247m) in Hawaii last night. I
spent two days by the crater waiting for the clouds to disappear, the
lava glow to be as low as possible and for the milky way to be
positioned right before this became possible.
In order to capture this I had to use a 4-stop graduated ND filter and polarizer. 5DIII with 30seconds/F1.4/ISO4000.
