Hi I’m Brad Scott – You might recognize me from my popular fitness channel on YouTube where I have helped over 33,000 dial in their workouts and nutrition.
I haven’t always had six pack abs and a fitness model body. In fact I used to have a very average looking body with barely any muscle definition and if you looked at me back then (before I knew the secrets I am about to share with you), you wouldn’t have been able to tell that I worked out at all and to tell you the truth, I used to have no confidence in the way I looked and felt.
Not having the body I wanted and being in good shape affected my relationships, business, and my life in general.
Now I used to work out a lot, around 4-5 days a week and I would be in the gym for hours it seemed. I also thought I was eating healthy. But I just wasn’t getting the ripped six pack abs I had been struggling so hard to get. My stomach was as soft as a marshmallow.
I was making some simple mistakes that I had learned from watching too much crap on tv, and reading to many fitness and health magazines that were full of bogus information. It wasn’t my fault that I wasn’t getting results and it’s not your fault either.
We get so much misleading information from media these days it’s hard to know what to believe and what to throw in the garbage.

I was lucky enough to learn these 4 steps (It’s good to be friends with fitness models, pro athletes and pro bodybuilders :)) that I used to burn off my belly fat and I finally got my body fat percentage low enough for my six pack abs to show. These 4 simple steps are the base of what I now teach and have structured my whole workout and nutrition program around.
Use these 4 simple steps to finally lose belly fat and gain lean muscle to reveal chiseled abs.
Step 1 : In order for your abs to show, you need to first burn off the belly fat.
Now I used to sit on the treadmill for hours it seemed. I would also ride the stationary bikes and go on long runs in the woods. But still I looked down at my stomach… NO ABS!!
The problem with these long, boring cardio methods is that when you don’t switch up your intensity levels and when you do cardio at the same pace for too long you don’t burn fat fast enough and if you run for more than about 45 minutes at a steady pace you can actually start burning through your muscle and not your fat. Most people also overshoot there fat burning zone when doing cardio on these machines and don’t burn any fat at all!
Now the more muscle you have, the faster your metabolism is, and the faster you can burn fat.
So if you are burning muscle and barely burning any fat with these boring cardio workouts that take up hours of your day, you are actually working against yourself. This is how people become what I like to call Skinny Fat. They barely lose any weight, and they don’t look like they work out AT ALL!
So here is what you do:
Now there is no such thing as spot fat reduction, So you can’t directly train your abdominals right away and expect to get six pack abs. Ab workouts don’t burn belly fat!
So in order to burn belly fat you need to do exercises that burn fat from your entire body while also building lean muscle mass. Full body workouts that target large muscle groups like your legs, back, and chest burn the most amount of carbohydrates and are the most effective way to build lean muscle mass. These workouts will also continue to burn calories after your workout.
When you work these large muscles it takes energy for them to repair themselves which burns more fat even when you’re sleeping.
So by doing these intense full body workouts, you speed up your metabolism and turn your body into a fat burning machine.

So now that you know that it is impossible for you to get six pack abs without first doing workouts that burn off the layer of belly fat covering your abdominals it’s time to start working on toning and sculpting your abdominals with direct “Ab workouts”.
These ab workouts are going to be like the ones your used to but I have some unknown ab exercises that will get your abs looking ripped and symmetrical.
My ab exercises are intense and I focus on all sections of the abdominal wall including the upper abs, lower abs, oblique’s and the serratus anterior.

Step 3: Dial in your Diet
If I had to pick out the main thing that was preventing me from having great abs and what prevents most people from getting six pack abs, it would have to be their diet.
Now we have all heard the sayings:
“Abs are made in the kitchen”
“You can’t out-train a bad diet”
“Diet contributed to 60+% of weight loss results”
And let me tell you, THESE SAYINGS ARE TRUE!
Most people don’t have the knowledge of what foods they should be eating to have a healthy balanced diet. We see commercials on TV all day long with these so called “HEALTHY FOODS” that we go out and buy and think we are doing ourselves a favor but we are just being lied to.
Now by “saying Dial in your Diet” I do not mean starving yourself. Starving your body does not work and is very dangerous.
My idea of a “Healthy Diet” is eating the right combination of foods that will give your body the correct amount of vitamins and nutrients it needs to function properly, burn fat, and repair and build new muscle.
Now you need to have the perfect combination of carbs, proteins and fats in order to get your body lean enough ( around 6-12% body fat) to see your abs.
It’s hard to keep your diet fun and fresh without knowing what foods go together to keep your diet at that perfect balance.
